Yoyleland from "Get Digging"

Yoyleland is the main destination of the three alliance teams in the BFDIA season and was the main homeland of all the BFDI cast throughout IDFB.

It is located in northeastern Goiky and is 2,763 miles away from the place where BFDI and BFDIA normally take place. Yoyle Mountain and Yoyle City are both located in Yoyleland. Yoyleland is also the main homeland terrain of Yoyleberries.

Most of Yoyleland's terrain is made from purple Yoyle Grass. The sky at Yoyleland is also bright yellow for unknown reasons. The sky blocks most of the sunlight, and only a small amount of sunlight can arrive at the terrain. This makes normal un-adapted crops growing almost impossible (Fries used grotatoes instead of potatoes because they grow faster in "Welcome Back").

Geography[]

Yoyleland is located on the coast of northeastern Goiky, 2763 miles away from the original BFDI. It consists of hilly terrain with purple grass, yoyle bushes, and large patches of forest. In the northern half of the area lies Yoyle Mountain, which is located near the source of the Yoyle River. The Yoyle River runs through the middle of Yoyleland, through Yoyle City, with multiple bridges crossing it. The river then drains into the ocean. There are also 2 lakes, one with a small island in the middle, and an unnamed river to the west of Yoyle Mountain.

Appearances and mentions[]

In "The Glistening", Leafy says that she has a Yoylecake made from Yoyleberries, which are from Yoyleland. She then uses her map to teleport to Yoyleland in the contest, marking its first appearance in the show.

In "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know", Leafy uses her map to teleport herself into Yoyleland before Pin tears the map, leaving Leafy trapped there until she came back in "Get in the Van".

In "Get Digging", Puffball, Gelatin, Needle, Ice Cube, Book, and Spongy visited Yoyleland to acquire some Yoyleberries for the contest. However, only the former three made it there, due to Gelatin throwing the latter three off Puffball to get more space. Upon reaching shore, many bushes holding Yoyleberries in them — known by some fans as "yoyle bushes" — are seen. Gelatin and Needle start collecting the berries when Leafy suddenly teleports in front of Needle, seemingly unaware of her presence. Leafy says that she is "glad that [she's] not too needy", unintentionally provoking Needle to slap her. Angered, Leafy starts to throw knives at the trio as they try to escape from her wrath. Needle and Gelatin then try to stall off Leafy with acid spitballs, but to no avail and they only managed to further irritate Leafy into throwing more knives at the trio, causing them to leave Yoyleland with the baskets of Yoyleberries they've collected.

In "Get in the Van", the challenge was to reach the summit of Yoyle Mountain in Yoyleland. In "The Long-lost Yoyle City", the contestants reach Yoyleland, and Yoyle City, an abandoned city near Yoyle Mountain is seen. Yoyle City has a variety of stores and the "Yoyle Needy", a spoof of the Seattle Space Needle in Seattle, Washington, USA.

In "Well Rested", the contestants move to Yoyleland, citing a requirement for a Hand-Powered Recovery Center as one of the reasons. This is because Ruby glued it to the ground before the trip up the Yoyle Mountain and travelling 2,763 miles to and fro just to use it would not be feasible.

"Welcome Back", which occurs three years after BFDIA 6, takes place in Yoyle City.

In "Paper Towel", Yoyleland is not seen physically, but Yoyle Mountain, Yoyle Summit, and the Yoyle Needy are all visible in the background.

In Battle for BFDI, the fourth season, Yoyleland again does not reappear. However, since the backgrounds are recycled from Paper Towel; Yoyle Mountain and Yoyle Summit are still visible, but the Yoyle Needy was removed for unknown reasons.

In "Gardening Zero", Team8s visits Yoyleland to protect a funny plant. It is eventually destroyed by gamma rays. Barf Bag obtains a yoyleberry but does not eat it.

In "The Great Goikian Bake-Off", Basketball instructs Snowball to go to Yoyleland using one of the teleportation bracelets from "Gardening Zero", so he can eat a Yoyleberry and become immune to Four's zaps.

Statistics and facts[]

  • Yoyleland has a total of 179,034,521 wild trees, dwarfing the 281,164 trees in the city. Of those, 27% are spiky trees, 13% are green ball trees, 28% are Yoyle bushes, and 32% are pink ball trees.[1]
  • Yoyleland does not have enough sun to support the growth of potatoes, and probably other crops too. However, its soil can support the growth of a funny plant, alongside its various native flora.

Trivia[]

  • The recommended character Boombox, apparently lives in Yoyleland, as seen in "Yeah, Who? I Wanna Know".
  • About 80 feet (24.38 meters) from the canyon is Evil Forest which is 2,761 miles (4,443.4 kilometers) away from Yoyleland. This means that the canyon is about 2 miles (3.22 kilometers) away from where BFDIA takes place normally.
  • The Desert appears to be about 1 mile (1.61 kilometers) away from Evil Canyon. And deep in the desert, it seems that Yoyleland is still 2,760 miles (4,441.79 kilometers) away.
  • When Leafy jumps inside the Goiky map she says, "Blue skidoo, we can too!", which is a reference to Blue's Clues.
  • Yoyle Mountain has a height of 5,580 meters (18,307.09 feet). If it was a real mountain, it would be the 206th-highest mountain in the world.
  • Yoyleland is 139.81 square miles (225 square kilometers).
  • Cary Huang created the Yoyleberry Method, a Square-1 method.
  • The flag of Yoyleland is used as a flag in a game of Minesweeper by Cary Huang, called Timed Minesweeper.
  • Part of the flag of Yoyleland is purple; however, nearly all flags on Earth currently do not contain purple.

Yoyle River[]

The Yoyle River is the name given to the river that runs through from Yoyle Mountain, through Yoyle City, and into the Goiky Canal. It was named in Carykh's Yoyle City video.

About[]

According to Cary Huang, it's a river that starts by the mountain, goes down into the city, and eventually reaches the Goiky Canal. It is named "Yoyle River" because it runs through Yoyle City, unlike other rivers around Yoyleland.

Bridges[]

There are eight bridges crossing Yoyle River, the longest of which has 10 pillars holding it up. Here are some statistics for the bridge, from closest to the ocean to furthest, in units of city blocks:

Distance from first Gap from previous Length
0 N/A 11
9 9 4
11 2 4
16 5 3
20 4 3
24 4 3
26 2 3
28 2 3
